I didn't like Baltimore when I moved here, its a bit ghetto, but its growing on me. I like how it is so close to the big cities in the east coast - NY, Philly, Washington. The hill you were at is probably called Federal Hill, near inner harbor. Its nice to walk around there in the Summer...but its so cold now!
